The University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory is conducting a study to determine how faces change after death. This study will help be used to evaluate and improve face recognition technology to match postmortem photos to images collected before death. In many cases, photographs are obtained from identification documents, passports, mugshots, or personal photos.
To support this study, we are asking for photographs from our pre-donors while they are still living. We are asking you to submit up to 10 photographs that we can use for this study. Five of the photographs should be high quality images taken in good lighting and a neutral background. The other five images should be images taken from personal photographs (such as birthday parties, vacations, etc.) taken over the past 3 years and could be under other lighting, other expressions, and from random angles. Once you have submitted this form, you will be given a link to upload you photos. Please see below for example photographs. If possible please crop the photos such that it contains your head, shoulders, and face.
Please DO NOT submit any photos that you would consider private or embarrassing.
